jon & heather: married!

My dear friend, Heather (finally! :)) tied the knot with her longtime love - Jon - a few weeks ago. I was proud to be along as one of the photographers for the day!

Heather & Jon got married in Redford, MI @ Grace Lutheran Church with their reception @ St. Mary's Cultural Center in Livonia, MI... but the day started out in Royal Oak! All the ladies (including me and Jeanne - the other photog!) had lunch @ Lily's Seafood before the girls got their hair & makeup done at Palazzolo Salon & About Face (respectively :)).

I started out spending time with Heather as she got her makeup done @ About Face:

Then I headed over to the hotel where the guys were getting ready:Heather had me deliver a note to her hubby-to-be:

Jon's dad officiated the ceremony:I was required to be in the balcony without any flash for the service... I was a little worried at first, but I ended up with some great shots thanks to my trusty zoom lens!

Off to the reception! Yummy cake by Cakes by Stephanie in Monroe:Roy did an awesome job at the FOB toast.Russ & Cate - they're getting hitched in November and I'm super excited to join them in their big day as well!Detroit-based band,The {edit} Concern, rocked it out @ the reception:One of my favorites - I love it!
