melissa & josue {married!}

Memorial Day weekend was FULL of sessions, plus an event, plus a wedding... so here is the first of many blog posts from those few days....

I would like to introduce to you, Melissa & Josue. What a beautiful wedding day it was! As I arrived at the church, Melissa was anxiously anticipating her vows - she was so happy and excited. I watched as her  and Josue's family and friends began to fill the pre-ceremony room and wish her so much happiness... in English AND in Spanish! Yes, Josue's family's first language is Spanish and Melissa spoke it fluently. It was really special to watch as she interacted between families! They were married at the beautiful First United Methodist Church in Farmington, MI. The ceremony included traditional American and Spanish elements - loved it! After they tied the knot, we headed over to Burton Manor to continue the celebration... which was equally as unique and fun, but I'll stop telling you about it... see for yourself... :)
The giving of the 13 gold coins and the prayer lasso, both traditional Spanish wedding elements!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!! Melissa, you are gorgeous!
Josue knew how to lead a lady around the dance floor as was seen with the Mother/Son dance...

...and confirmed with the couple's First Dance together! It started slow with "Endless Love" then switched into a sexy little salsa/cha-cha number. SO fabulous!!
And because they had the best dollar dance, too... I had to post our picture together!

Thanks for allowing me to be a part of an awesome celebration, Melissa & Josue! Best wishes!!
