emilie & andy {engaged}

A few months back, I met Emilie & Andy at a coffeeshop. I think they were one of the first couples that I met with after I got engaged. We clicked instantly talking about plans and the engagement process and our lives. They are even having their reception at one of the venues I seriously considered for our own wedding! I left that initial meeting hoping they would choose me as their photographer because our meeting was such a delight.

Well, fast forward to October where we met for the second time... this time in downtown Detroit for their engagement session. My fiance, Jonathan, came along for the shoot, so the four of us had a great time walking around the DIA (Detroit Institute of the Arts) and the Detroit Public Library (You may recognize the locations from Emily & Chris' engagement shoot in July!) and even braved the high winds on Belle Isle! Despite the cold, threatening weather (story of the season!!), the shoot was a success and I had as much fun hanging out with Emilie and Andy as I did when I met them for the first time!

This lovely couple is getting married next month and I can't wait to be apart of their big day! Thanks for a fun afternoon, Emilie & Andy!! Best wishes to you in the final weeks of preparation! Enjoy the preview!

There was so much laughter during the session! So fun!

kyle {senior}

A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of doing another senior session! 'Tis the season, 'eh? :) This time it was on the west side of the state in East Grand Rapids and the senior was Kyle! Kyle is the brother of Corey, whose wedding I shot this summer. Fortunately, we scheduled the session on one of the more beautiful fall days that we had in October. We took full advantage of the changing leaves... but more on that to come :) I think Kyle was a little nervous at first, but it didn't take long before he warmed up and was even suggesting some sweet poses! Yay!

Kyle - it was fun walking around town with you snapping some photographs. I wish you the best for your senior year and as you make plans for college! Enjoy the preview!

Told you we gook full advantage of the leaves! Kyle climbed the tree in his dressy clothes! Love it!
Just a few shots with his Cross Country gear on to finish up!

keith & meghan {married}

This is a special post. Not only because I have another fabulous couple to feature, but also because it is my 100th post! Hard to believe I have that many posts worth of images out there. It's an exciting thought though. I can't wait to create hundreds of more posts! We've only just begun!

Also, Happy NOVEMBER! Whoa. It's officially our wedding month. That's hard to believe, too! A few more posts... and I'll be married! Keith & Meghan, however, are already married... so let me tell you about them! :)

I love fall and I love weddings and I love friends, so Keith & Meghan's wedding was the perfect combination. You may remember Keith & Meghan from their engagement session in East Grand Rapids back in March. Well fast forward to three weeks ago, and they went from being engaged to newlyweds - and it was a wonderful celebration!

The ceremony took place at Third CRC in Zeeland, MI and the reception took place in Saugatuck at the Laketown Golf & Conference Center. The whole day was meaningful and fun and such a joy to be apart of! Meghan had every detail of the day intricately designed and planned - it was one of the most flawlessly executed weddings I have attended! Way to go, girl!

Keith & Meghan, thank you for the opportunity to be apart of your wedding day! It was a beautiful celebration and a joy to capture. Enjoy your preview!

The celebration actually began on Thursday with the bachelorette & bachelor activities. I was lucky enough to be invited along with all the girls - so fun!
